We took some time to go over our original idea and finalise it and after doing this we looked through our experimental work, which made this quite difficult as each piece had its own meaning. Therefore coming up with a solid foundation was becoming quite difficult. During our tutorial session we came to the realisation that we had too much going on, we then condensed our ideas and put the focus on one idea, which is interference.
Our final idea
Interference of Sound and Visuals /
Idea 1 - Using water/projector/ Go pro to capture the interference it creates - Speaker next to Go pro to capture sounds.
Idea 2 - Old tv that create interference. Opens up and there is static, then the video starts with the Go pro under the water.
Idea 3 - Multiple old TV screens playing the videos from our experiments/ Using the sound generated from the original videos.
Focus on the abstract of the interference
Work with water and a Go pro
Add sounds in post production
Focus on one video
Filming sounds whilst recording water
Distortion/ interference of the Go pro
WHAT WILL WE PROJECT/ Visuals - Circles in water and how the water affects the shape of the circles
Formation of shapes?/ Rather than creating a formation of shapes in post. The use of the projections and the way the water affects the shapes whilst filming.
White circle in the centre/ what we’ll be interfering with during filming/ Using different colours.
Sounds to use
Static interference from tech
high pitched frequency
vibrations of water
white noise
