To gain some inspiration, we visited a gallery which was displaying Hannah Perry's exhibition 'GUSH'. Her work plays with sound as a dominant focus, making the audience feel quite uncomfortable when watching the video she made. As a group after viewing the artworks, we all came together sharing our thoughts and explaining what we picked up from her work, one of the statements said was that the people used in the video were never revealed, allowing the audience to not see the video as something that was for a specific audience but instead anyone could relate since the work explores her experience with loss, something many people can relate to. The exhibition showed a large use of skill and creativity, using a custom rigged 360° camera built by herself and work with sound frequencies and mirrored surfaces to create distorted patterns in her images.
