Our group decided to look into Sophie Calle's work for its use of colour as we are very interested in the use of colour and optical art therefore when researching artist, we was given the suggestion to look into the work by Calle by our our lecturer Julie.
whats the chromatic diet?
Sophie Calle created her interpretation of the chromatic diet being influenced by Paul Auster's novel leviathan (1992). The chromatic diet is a diet based on colour which each day is assigned. when creating this piece of photography Calle put herself in the role of Maria which is a character from Auster's novel, I've mentioned this because it shows that the artist envisioned the art from another perspective.
